Hemostasis

At the end of this course, students should be able to: 
1. Describe Collection and processing of coagulation specimens, and instrumentation
2. Discuss principles of hemostasis (primary, secondary, and fibrinolysis)
3. Explain the coagulation factor nomenclature and the intrinsic, extrinsic, common pathways, and associated factors
4. Discuss coagulation, thrombocyte, and vasculature disorders
5. Describe the evaluation of hemostasis and coagulation tests to include assays and mixing studies
