2006: Stacey started lecturing immediately after becoming a certified Medical Technologist at Comanche County Memorial Hospital (CCMH). CCMH operates a School of Medical Technology where MTs assume roles of faculty members and are responsible for teaching practical bench testing to the enrolled students (average of 6 students). Stacey was responsible for Blood Bank and Urinalysis testing training in 2006.
2007: She worked as a generalist and often worked with Medical Technology Students on a one-on-one basis; additionally, Stacey was also responsible for assisting with the orienting and initial training of newly employed MLTs/MTs procedures and tests performed in the Laboratory.
Stacey is an incredible medical laboratory scientist.
2008: Stacey started providing formal lectures and bench testing to the MT students at CCMH as the main Instructor of the Medical Technology program: courses taught included Parasitology, and Topics in Medical Technology (Lab management, Laboratory Information Systems, and Educational Methodology). Other classes include Chemistry, Hemostasis, Urinalysis, Blood Bank, Immunology, and Phlebotomy for the class of 2010, Virology for the class of 2011, and Hematology and Molecular Diagnostics for the class of 2012. She has continued lecturing in these classes and more, up until present day. Stacey also executes the role of the Laboratory Education Coordinator.
2011: She became certified as an Allied Health Instructor (AHI) by American Medical Technologists (AMT). Stacey also assumed the role of Program Director of the Medical Technology School at CCMH.
2013: Stacey undertook an additional job title of Phlebotomy Supervisor at CCMH.
Stacey loves educating others and is an efficient supervisor.
2022: To date, all of Stacey’s MLS/MT students have successfully passed the AMT RPT certification examination and her MLS program has a 100% graduation, placement, and certification pass-rate over the last 3 years.
Stacey is a committed instructor and is dedicating her spare time to mentoring RPT/MLT/MT/MLS students everywhere.
