At the end of this course, students should be able to:
1. List the different types of immunity and how each is produced.
2. Compare the differences between the structure of antigens and antibodies.
3. Analyze the cellular immune response mechanism.
4. Compare the immunology of tumors how this information is used.
5. Analyze how immunological and tumor markers are used to diagnose and monitor diseases
6. Analyze the complement system; how it works, why it works, and what it does.
7. Describe the four types of hypersensitivity reactions and give examples of each.
8. Describe how serological tests are used to diagnose disease.
9. Discuss autoimmune diseases, immune deficiencies, and infectious diseases that commonly affect humans.
10. Discuss tests and lab findings affiliated with diseases discussed in this course.
